Welcome to our Web Site! Please Read our Minister's Message. The Newtown Christian Church is patterned after the church described in the New Testament. The church of Jesus Christ was planned by Him in the New Testament. The Gospel of Matthew 16:16-18 gives the promise and Acts (chapter 2) gives the history of the establishment of the Church of Christ. We believe that a church can exist today in the same manner simply by following the pattern seen in the New Testament and this we have attempted to do. We do not claim to be the only Christians, but do claim to be "Christians only", without any addition or subtraction from the definition of a Christian given in the New Testament. All who share in our desire to restore the unity of the Church of Christ are invited to work with us to this end.
